Earlier this Spring, Fresno City Council President Tyler Maxwell announced his "On the Same Page" campaign, a plan to install little libraries in every District 4 neighborhood and stock them with new and gently used children's books. We knew that we needed to be involved in this, so Cynthia reached out to Council President Maxwell's office. Our lovely library is now proudly standing in front of our home!
One of our generous neighbors, retired teacher Maggie Boyer, donated 80 books from her collection, so we will be able to keep this library stocked. Now we just need to let children know that they are welcome to come check out a book. There is no paperwork to fill out, and children are welcome to keep a book if they love it. Please help us spread the word. To find our library, call or text me and I will share the address. We will put in the occasional book for grown-up readers as well.
